These works are explorations of process, material, and paint body. They explore the elemental landscape of the page and its pieces: stacked and overlapped pages, corners, drop caps, the layout and logic of that essential rectangular space we all come across everyday. They are odes to collision: collisions between the flat vernacular of graphic design motifs and letterforms and the uncontrolled painterly gesture, between solid shapes and washes of pigment.
